Taking the kids to see Madagascar 3 at the movies=EPIC FAIL. Rylie started crying and screaming bloody murder about 20 minutes into the movie so I left with her. And she cried in the car for almost an hour while the boys stayed for the remainder of the movie. However, fifteen minutes before the movie ended, Tucker decided he had had enough and before Zeke could grab him, climbed three rows up and after being caught, was carried out of the theater screaming as well. If you were in that movie showing...sorry..AHHHH!
However, the parts of the twenty minutes that I did see, it was super cute and I will be buying it when it comes out. Next movie trip will be in 15 years ;-).
After running some errands today Rylie was just exhausted. Poor bug has a cold and now a cough and just feels yucky. She passed out in the car while Daddy was changing the oil and Tucker laid his head on her seat, rubbed her head (which she loves) and kept saying, in a voice filled with awe, "Rylie is such a sweet baby. She is just so beautiful. Rylie is such a beautiful and sweet girl."
He is such a wonderful big brother. So in love with his sister.
If you ask Tucker if he is a good big brother, he will always respond, "Yes, I am very nice and love her and share with her." If you ask him if Rylie is a good sister, he will pause for a minute and answer, "Sometimes. But she pinches and steals my toys a lot. But its ok!" And that's the truth! He shares with her 98% of the time and is almost always super nice to her. If she doesn't get her way though, she will pinch him or wait until he looks away for 1/2 a second, steal his toy and run away giggling and glancing over her shoulder for his reaction.
Today at lunch Rylie kept throwing her strawberries in the floor. I gently popped her hand and told her no a few times. She did it again and Tucker yelled at her "RYLIE! THAT'S REALLY BAD!" and jumped down and super super gently popped her hand. She looked ready to burst into tears so he quickly said, "It's ok Rylie. Throwing food is really bad. I'm sorry for yelling at you!"
Poor girl is teething and has a cold on top of that. No matter whether she's feeling bad or not, I can always count on some sweet snuggles from her!! Tucker stopped letting me hold him like this at like 4 months, she still loves it!
We went to McDonalds for breakfast today and Tucker ordered pancakes. For the very first time ever, he out ate Rylie!!! He ate two pancakes, dipped in syrup, and she didn't finish even one! This is definitely a record!
Tucker has also almost polished off a whole tin of cinnamon altoids. The world's pickiest child loves one of the hottest mints ever!?
Bapa took Tucker to a few yard sales yesterday morning. He got this awesome digger in addition to some other toys. After nap we all went outside for some more fresh air. He definitely had a blast in the sand box!!
This awesome digger, a MASSIVE 1990 Hotwheels Mega Rig Crane set (so awesome!!!!), a bug box, a loop and bead maze for Rylie and a bag full of other goodies for Rylie.
Zeke was laying on his stomach playing trucks with Tuck this morning. Rylie crawled right up on him and demanded a ride! She LOVES this!!
Tucker has the cutest dog ever.
Another shot of Tucker playing with his digger. It was a ton of levers and such...right up my little man's alley!
Overall, its been a great weekend so far!
Around one week or so and we will officially be homeowners to the most perfect house. SOOO EXCITED!!! CAN'T WAIT!!
