Please don't tell me..

..that he is going to turn out like his daddy...

Don't get me wrong..I love his daddy very much...but I can only handle one guy in the house obsessed with cars...

Baby Bear

Bapa bought Tucker an awesome hamster cage...so soon after, we bought him a hamster.
A little tiny Siberian hamster..super fluffy. Likes like a tiny bear.
Tucker immediately named it...
BABY BEAR.

And, of course, like everything in life...he is sweet, caring and compassionate..way beyond his years.
He is so gentle with Baby Bear. He always wants to "snug" (snuggle) him, feed him, give him fresh water, clean out his cage, kiss him, etc.
Honestly..he is already a much better pet owner than I am. He never forgets to feed the hamster or the fish. If truth be told...before, the fish went days between feedings because I never remembered.
But he ALWAYS remembers.

So when Bapa came over to see sweet Tucker and Baby Bear...she snuck a few cuddles with both babies :)
Bapa even got brave and held Baby Bear too!!!
Tucker is in love with his hamster!

Thanks Bapa!!!!!!!!!!!!

precious babies :)

Sitting like a pro :)
LOVE this little girl's eyes!
And this is how a 2 year old dresses himself..
LOVE his style :)
"like PAPA's BOOTS!"

PNF

Spending time in Pisgah never gets old :)

LOVE HIM!!

Ya know what NEVER gets old??

Seeing Tucker smile..
Nothing makes me happier than seeing his whole face light up and his eyes sparkle when he smiles..
My boy loves when his Daddy comes home from work and they play!

2 months already???

WHERE has the time gone????
How can my baby girl already be nine TEN weeks old??

Her two month check-up was last week...

at birth...
6 pounds 12 ounces
20 inches

and nine weeks later...
11 pounds 2 ounces
21.5 inches

She's still in the less than 15th percentile for weight and height...
but she certainly has a little belly on her..and rolls :)

My little Buddha-baby :)

She is starting to smile tons now..and even giving a few giggles. She can sit with help and holds her head up like a pro!!
I'm so proud of both my kids..
LOVE LOVE LOVE them both :)

4th of July

Isle of Palms, Charleston, SC
A dream spot for vacation for a ton of people..

Except my boy.

My boy HATES the water.
It TERRIFIES him.
Especially the ocean.
He can do the pool a little..

But the beach..forget it. He HATED it.
All he talked about for weeks was how he wanted to play on the "beeeetch" and ride the boat...

Well the boat started off GREAT..He was an EXCELLENT helper and LOVED helping to clean it up to get it ready to go out...
Not to mention, he did AWESOME soaking Daddy!!
He even got a tiny bit carried away...And helped to clean the driveway and the pathway.
However...we got out on the boat. I had Rylie (who HATED her life jacket btw...) and he sat between me and Daddy. While we were in the marina and beginning of the intracoastal, at idle speed, he was loving it. We get out on the water and he was beyond terrified..screaming, crying, TERRIFIED. Then he calmed down and got VERY whiny..and within minutes he was sound asleep. Since it was hot and both kids seemed kinda miserable, Zeke dropped me and the kids back off at the marina and we spent the afternoon inside the house, relaxing.

He can do the pool a little...with a lot of coaxing and encouragment. Without me holding him, forget it...he doesn't go in past his knees. And if I make him go out past the steps...he clings to me like a little baby monkey. I mean arms wrapped around my neck and legs as tight as possible as well.
No amount of coaxing or prying loosens this childs grip! And he prefers me to have my arms securely around him as well :)
He doesn't let go. :)

Tucker was not a fan of the beach. 110% not a fan of the ocean but certainly not the beach either.
On the last day, he finally dug in the sand a little bit with Daddy...but a LONG way from the water.
This is as close to the water was he got. If even I picked him up and tried to walk a step farther...BLOODY MURDER SCREAMING!! That is definitely ok with Mama..I'm not a big fan either!!
Coast Guard flying over..
We were only at the beach a total of about an hour...but I think he drank 10 juices and waters during that hour..he can drink like a camel :)

And little Miss Buddha spent the hour napping away in her stroller :)

Overall as far as a beach vacation was not a success.
But we had a wonderful time

Mr. Trouble Maker...

Tucker rarely does anything that is actually "bad." Sure, he can be a little monster at times and he can make a mess with his toys...but its pretty rare that he actually does something...
...so imagine my surprise when he walks out from his nap and he has a big smear of Desitin across his cheek...and covering his hands.

....To his credit, he did try to clean it up himself...he used almost half a box of wipes...

If you've ever gotten Desitin anywhere besides your baby's bum, you know its quite a pain to clean up...
Imagine two whole tubes squirted out ALL over...

So Tucker sat in time out the ENTIRE time I cleaned this up. He felt pretty bad..
It was EVERYWHERE and covered EVERYTHING on the changing table...lotion bottles, the changing pad, buckets,...just everything.

...I gotta admit...it took quite a bit of effort not to chuckle in front of him when I saw this...

Gotta love little boys :)
