TWO year old check-up

Tucker went for his big TWO year old check-up today. I still have a hard time believing that he is already that old...

But they said he was perfectly healthy and right on track!!

His words and "sentences" are great, his size is good, he is developing perfectly and he is ahead in gross motor skills as well as some fine motor skills.

I'm not surprised with this, really...I mean I already knew he was a tall skinny kid..but he is in the 50th percentile for head circumference, 70th percentile for height and 25th for weight.

They pricked his finger for routine bloodwork...and he didn't even flinch. He thought it was awesome!! I mean of course at first he pulled back and asked me why but once he saw all the little equipment she was using...he was allllll into it. He wanted to see what was going on. And band-aids...apparently like his Grampa Kehoe..he's too "manly" for them! Forget. It.

So after his appointment, of course he deserved a treat for being so awesome, right? So off to McDonald's for his favorite breakfast...hashbrowns! (Okay..and maybe a sweet tea..so what!? He got a finger prick..he deserved it!)

And after naptime, I brought out the playdough for the first time. Not what I expected (in a way..I admit it could of gone 2 ways..awesome and like it did. Ha!)
He refused to touch it. When I squished his hand in it, I heard a BUNCH of "EWWWW" "ROSS mama!" (gross) "that dirty!" and "sheeeeewwww!"'s...Needless to say, he found playdough DISGUSTING!!

And we're "growing" dinosaurs..from capsules in a cup. I'll have to let you know how it turns out :)

Today: GREAT SUCCESS.

My Happy Little Helper :)

So I've pretty much always been in LOVE with cheesecake.
And Tucker LOVES to help me cook.
He is the BEST LITTLE HELPER EVER!
So when I found this recipe for no bake cheesecake, we had to try it!

Chef Tucker..in training.

Chef Tucker putting in and patting down the graham cracker crusts.
BAM! KAZAM! Little Chef :)
This was Tucker's response when I asked him "Where'd the rest of the blueberries you're supposed to be putting on the crusts go?"
Needless to say...they were delicious blueberries :)
My big boy pours all the ingredients all by himself!
And he's pretty much a pro at using the mixer!
Then he helped to fill the tins with the filling..
And of course after all that hard work and while waiting for the cheesecake to set...
Tucker HAD to sample what it tasted like!
And then we shared some of the finished product! It is awesome!!

Tucker's pretty much a little mini pro in training!
He's the best little helper!
Even Daddy agreed that the cheesecake is awesome :)

Tucker's 2nd Birthday Party!

Tucker's 2nd birthday party turned out pretty great!
He had an AMAZING time and LOVED everything about it!!
Seeing his smile and hearing his laughter made everything oh so very worth it..
He's such an amazing little boy :)

We're both making the same face! He was thrilled to death
with ALL his new toys and his cake!!
Train cakes are the best!! (Props to Gramma Kehoe!) Tucker was in love with his cake!
Tucker let all the kids there play with his new stuff! Such a sweet little boy!
So it's a little blurry...but I still love this picture..it captures his delight with this foam disk shooter thing perfectly!!
Last year he cried when we sang to him...This year he LOVED it.
He was so proud and LOVED having everyone sing to him!!
My boy loves his cars!
"Oh NOOOOO!!" Perfect picture moment..love this little guy so much!
He was sooo happy!!
Tucker holding a baby for the first time!
And giving baby Gabriel a lesson on all his favorite TRUCKS and TRACTORS!

Tucker is 2

TWO!!!!!!!!

As of 7:13 this morning, my baby BIG BOY turned 2!
Tucker picked his outfit...he added a pair of boots later on too :)

Daddy and I both got up with Tucker this morning and we opened presents. Tucker loved everything he got today (he only got to open the presents he got in the mail and one from us..the rest is for his party Saturday :))
After Daddy went to work, Tucker and I spent the day playing and having fun! A day full of trains, trucks, snacks, chocolate milk, frogs, lizards, blankie and other fun things!!
Then when Daddy got home from work, we went to Tucker's favorite place for dinner...
and my boy ate:
and..

I love my BIG BOY so much. He's growing up WAY TOO FAST.
I can't believe he is TWO ALREADY!! Its crazy!!

But we had a pretty awesome day...and his party Saturday is going to be amazing too.
My boy is so loved :)

I love you Tucker Myles :)

**On a side note...yesterday Tucker decided that it was time to be potty trained. He wore big boy underwear all day! He only had 3 accidents all day long!! Today started out great as well! He used the potty twice and was loving his new undies. Then as we were playing with trains, he said "Mama, no more potty. No more potty Mama. I done." Then he led me to his room, got up on his changing table, got a diaper and laid down and said "Please Mama." I kept telling myself yesterday and I knew it was true, he isn't quite ready yet. And I am more than a 100% ok with that!! He's growing up too fast! This is his last "baby" thing and if he wants to stay in diapers for awhile longer, thats ok with Mommy. As long as he's outta diapers before he's 3, that's our deal!

I'm so proud of everything Tucker has accomplished in the last 2 years. He is such an amazing little boy and the light of my life. He is just amazing and I love him sooooooooo much!!
Tucker, Mommy loves you SO MUCH!! But slow down on this growing up so fast stuff. I love watching you grow and learn new things daily. I love every new and old word that you say and I love your extra cuddles and kisses lately...but slow down!! Its happening too fast!!

I love you so much Tucker :)

Too Fast!

I told you my boy was growing up too fast...
Every single day he learns something new and exciting.

On Thursday, he picked up my cup and just started drinking out of it,
by himself,
like he's been doing it forever.
Yeah, he's been able to drink out of it when I hold it forever..but doing it like a pro out of the blue?
Blows my mind...

I know it shouldn't of come as a surprise..but my baby isn't a baby anymore..

Hard to believe...

...that my baby boy is turning 2 in just 3 short days...

The last 2 years have just flown by.

I find it impossible to believe that once his baby sister gets here, that time will fly be even faster.
I can't think about that!

I'll write a better post on/soon after his birthday and again for his party, but for now...

Here's how much my baby boy has changed in these 2 short years..

12 hours old..
23 months old..
20 minutes old..
23 months 3 weeks old..
One day old..
Almost 2 years old..

Blows my mind that the little baby I carried for 10 months...
went from 7 pounds 14 ounces..to 28 pounds 7 ounces...
and from 22 3/4 inches long..to 35 1/2 inches tall...
all in 2 short years.

I love love LOVE watching him grow, learn new things and become a little boy instead of a baby boy...but its just happening too fast!! Slow down little man!!

Mommy loves you :)

New Years Resolutions

I kinda think that New Years Resolutions are a bit overrated... First of all, its rare they are followed through with. Second, why do we only pick one time of year to try to better ourselves? I could keep on going..but you get the point. Its dumb.

However...here goes nothing...

1. Be a better mother.
2. Be a better wife.
3. Care for others more.
4. Make more of an effort.
5. Do more activities with my son (and soon to be daughter.)
6. Breastfeed my daughter...and STICK WITH IT.
7. Make our apartment a home.
8. Eat healthier (and I don't mean healthy always..just healthier..)
9. Get Tucker the fish (ISH, ISH, ISHIEEE!!) that he has been wanting.
10. Make more scrapbooks..document our adventures better.

I'm sure there are more...but those are just off the top of my head...and completely possible :)

2011 is...

off to a good start!!!

So much to be thankful for already and its only getting better!!
I still can't grasp the fact that my little baby boy is going to be
TWO YEARS OLD
in exactly one week..I never believed my "elders" when they said once you had kids, time flies...until I was pregnant with Tucker. Its impossible to believe that (almost) TWO years have already flown by since he was born!!
And now my baby big boy is going to have a baby sister in less than 5 months!
So much to look forward to..Tucker's birthday party, moving, hearing Rylie's heartbeat again and a whole list of other things...and thats just in January!!
2011 is going to be awesome!

Tucker is such so much fun!! And he laughs so easy..
cracking up with mommy at dinner :)
*GASP* His delight in his toys and books never ceases to amaze me :)
This boy sure does love his cars!
Can't concentrate without the tongue sticking out!
5 months..
20 weeks 3 days
My boy and his ducks..they come right up to him!!
Eating his burrito...first time he would ever try one!!!

Bring it 2011.

Loving Life :)

I've always loved life...but now even more so with a child (soon to be childREN!!)
Tucker makes EVERYTHING so much more enjoyable (and I know Rylie will too!)
But seeing his face this Christmas was absolutely AMAZING!
We didn't get many pictures of Christmas morning because we were BUSY with presents and all that fun stuff...But thats ok, because while more picture memories would be nice,
I will NEVER forget hearing him GASP in excitement over EVERY present
and say in delight "OOOH MAANNN!!!" after opening EVERY toy.
While eveything else mattered, the best gift of all was seeing him SOOO HAPPY!
These are out of order...but you'll get the gist of how great Christmas was :)

Almost a foot of snow on Christmas day...bring it..my boy LOVED it!!!
Waiting patiently, eating a cookie, for a toy to be opened.
Tucker LOVES Buddy...I'm not sure why, but he does. "BUUddIEEEE!!!"
Gramma and Grampa Kehoe gave him this AWESOME train table with this GIANT train set (obviously didn't put even a 1/4 of the set out)...he was absolutely thrilled!
And of course....the big boys had to play too! Daddy and Uncle Bud had almost as much fun, I think!
Tucker and Daddy going fourwheeling before the snow really started to come down and stick :)
Tucker helping me set out cookies and milk for Santa (Santa also got some fresh deep fried oreos...DELICIOUS!!!) Tucker may or may not of eaten a few of Santa's cookies and drank some of the milk :)
I know its VERY blurry...but I like it..it shows the real action of how Tucker felt about silly string
My favorite snow picture...LOVE this little boy so much!
The best part about sledding when you're little? Daddy has to pull you back up the hill after you go down!
Nothing makes my heart melt like this little boy's smile and laughter
My boys :)

Definitely had an amazing Christmas..can't wait to share it with both kids next year!!

Speaking of #2...she's just kicking and squirming away! I LOVE feeling her. BEST part of being pregnant for sure!
